A Letter for You is a monthly letter subscription program operated by AK-GAL DESIGNS, based in North Pole, Alaska. We send personal, handwritten-style letters to elders across Alaska — in care facilities, veterans homes, and wherever they call home.

When you use this website or subscribe to our program, you are sharing information with AK-GAL DESIGNS. This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and what choices you have.

We collect only the information we need to deliver the program and communicate with you.

• Your name and email address, provided when you subscribe or contact us.
• The name and mailing address of the person you are subscribing on behalf of (the letter recipient).
• The recipient's birth month and day, so we can send a birthday card at the right time.
• Payment information — handled entirely by Stripe. We do not see or store your card number. Stripe provides us with a transaction confirmation only.
• Your name, email, and message if you fill out the Partner With Us or Sponsored Subscriptions form.
• Basic usage data collected automatically by our hosting provider (Vercel), such as your IP address and browser type. We do not use this to identify you personally.

We use the information you share to:

• Process your subscription and send confirmation and welcome emails.
• Address letters to your loved one and remember their birthday.
• Respond to inquiries submitted through our contact forms.
• Maintain and improve the website.

We do not use your information for advertising, and we do not build profiles or use automated decision-making.

We share your information only with the service providers that make the program work:

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to any third party, ever.

We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information from unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction. These measures include using HTTPS encryption for all data transmitted through this website and working exclusively with service providers who maintain appropriate security standards.

However, no method of transmission over the internet or method of electronic storage is 100% secure. While we do our best to protect your information, we cannot guarantee absolute security. If you have reason to believe that your interaction with us is no longer secure, please notify us immediately at subscribe@akgaldesigns.com.

We keep your information for as long as your subscription is active and for a reasonable period afterward in case you have questions or need support. If you ask us to delete your information, we will do so within 30 days, except where we are required by law to keep certain records (for example, financial transaction records).

You have the right to ask us what personal information we hold about you, to correct inaccurate information, and to request deletion of your information at any time. You also have the right to receive a copy of your data in a common, portable format.

This website does not use advertising cookies or tracking pixels. Our hosting provider (Vercel) may set basic session cookies for performance and security purposes. We do not use Google Analytics or any third-party analytics service.

This website is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has submitted information through this site, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

If we make material changes to this policy, we will update the date at the top of this page and, where required, notify you by email. We encourage you to review this page periodically. Your continued use of the site after changes are posted means you accept the updated policy.
